Will my wall switch still work?
Yes, you can always use your wall switch to turn your lights on or off without using the app. If you’re using free standing lights, the same applies. Just plug them in and switch them on. You can also use the remote to control your lights without using the app.
What is the warranty?
Warranty for all luc products is good 1 year after purchase.
Is luc fit for outdoor use?
While it is possible to use luc bulbs in outdoor fittings, it is not reccomended. The bulbs have not been designed for outdoor use and using them in this manner will void the warranty.
Is luc water tight?
No, luc is not water tight and should not be placed in direct contact with water or in areas which might be close to water.
Luc bulbs are not designed for use in:
Enclosed fixtures with limited airflow and/or trapped heat
Emergency lights and emergency exits
Areas where there is a chance of electric shock
Outdoors
Damp or wet conditions
Sockets that are not rated for this bulb
Sockets that utilize a 3rd party adapter
Very hot environments (e.g. close or next to ovens, heaters, radiators, etc.)
Which devices are supported?
The luc app supports iOS and Android devices, but you need to check on the App Store or Google Play store for the software version needed to run the app on your device.
Can luc be set to wake me up in the morning?
You can turn luc into your morning wake up call by using the alarm option. It definitely beats the shock of a loud alarm clock. Just set your lights to gradually brighten around the time you want to get up, and luc will wake you up in a more civilized fashion. Why not recreate the scene or the sun rising and turn luc into your own personal sunrise? That’s certainly a reason to get out of bed in the morning.
I had an accident with my bulb. Can I have it replaced?
We understand that accidents happen better than anyone, but unfortunately the broken bulb cannot be replaced. You will need to buy a new single bulb.
Do I need a new bridge for every single luc bulb?
No, one single bridge is enough, as you can control up to 16 bulbs with just one bridge.
Luc starts in the white colour setting when I use the main switch, is this ordinary?
Yes, if you’re using the main switch, luc will start in its pre-set mode each time. When using the app, luc starts in the last setting used before it was turned off last time.
How close do I need to be to control my lights?
If you’re within Wi-Fi range, then you can control your lights. It doesn’t get any more complicated than that. You can actually control your lights if you’re on the other side of the planet if you want. Make sure you’ve authorized both the bridge and app in order to use the system outside of your home.
How can I remove a lamp from my app?
If you want a unique bulb you can simply add it to a new group, and upon doing so it will automatically be removed from the previous group.
